Free Baby Shower Centerpieces

So, you’re throwing a baby shower for the beautiful mom-to-be and her bouncing bundle of joy, but coming up with a centerpiece that is both fun and functional is making you say “oh, baby!” Don’t worry- Baby Gift Time has you covered! We’ve found some cute, inexpensive centerpieces that will wow baby shower mavens and craft aficionados alike:

A Darling Diaper Cake
Diaper cakes are all the rage in baby shower couture; adorable, functional, and downright creative, these towering beauties provide a nice way to gift mom-to-be and decorate the table at the same time! Although several unique mom shops sell diaper cakes, they are surprisingly easy to make, given the right…ingredients.

Mama’s Clothesline
What better way to decorate the entire space than with a clothesline filled with baby goodies? Grab some string, lots of clothespins, and baby necessities (blankets, diapers, pacifiers, etc.), and hang those gifts “out to dry!” Right in the middle of the room, take a few diapers and write a letter on each, spelling out a sentiment like “Congratulations” or “Baby Shower”, or something to go with the theme. Mama will love it, and be reminded of all the laundry she’ll have to do once the baby is here- nice!

Baby’s A-Blooming
When we think of centerpieces, we usually think of a floral arrangement, right? For the traditionalist, you can create a small bouquet (filled with gender-focused flowers) with a small plush baby blooming right out of the flower bed; it’s a nice way to remind Mom that her little bud has almost bloomed, and a cute toy for baby.

A Stork’s Surprise
For those of us who just love the idea of a long-beaked bird delivering bouncing baby in a receiving blanket, this centerpiece will leave you looking around for the stork! Grab a baby doll and decorate it with a onesie, bib, and any other little gifts that can fit on the doll, and wrap it loosely in a receiving blanket, tying a knot at the top of the blanket to make it appear as if a stork dropped the baby off. This will not only serve as a cute centerpiece, it will alleviate Mom’s pesky trip to the hospital to deliver the baby, as the stork has already dropped it off! Note: the stork is not real, although it’d be great if it was!

Rubber Ducky, You’re the One
Make serving drinks fun with a tub punch bowl! A great centerpiece for the food table, fill a baby tub (maybe a character themed one, or something that matches the theme of your shower) with a clear punch and ice (which will double as bubbles), and add a rubber ducky to float around in the tub. Mom will love this one, as she not only has a baby tub; thanks to your ingenuity, she has an extra punch bowl for parties!

We hope that these fun ideas will help you to create the perfect atmosphere for mommy and baby; feel free to pass them on to your friends, and tell ‘em Baby Gift Time helped you! Have fun, be creative, and don’t forget to check out all of our free baby stuff, including graphics, baby announcements, and more.
